A tax audit letter can leave you afraid to say the wrong thing.
What are they asking for? What if you cannot find the receipts? Before you try to explain everything to an auditor, let’s review the letter and work out your next step.
Case evaluation: $295. Representation is quoted separately.

WHAT BROUGHT YOU HERE?
Which of these sounds like your situation?
IRS notices, IRS and state audits, correspondence audits, Schedule C / business audits, proposed changes and post-audit reconsideration where applicable.
“I got a letter. I don’t understand it.”
Not every letter is an audit. We identify who sent it, what they are asking for and the deadline shown, so you can understand what needs a response.
You do not have to improvise an explanation on the phone. We review the issues and, if you hire us for representation and authorize us, handle communications within the agreed scope.
Tell us what you do have. We review available records and identify gaps or possible supporting documents. We never invent expenses or promise that substitute records will be accepted.
We review the proposed changes, the explanation behind them and any response or appeal deadline. Then we discuss the options that may apply to your case.
Start with the latest notice and the letters you still have. We check the case stage, missing responses and whether a review or reconsideration may be available.
An audit and a collection case need different responses. Tell us about any levy, lien or collection notice and its deadline. We assess the next steps; contacting us does not stop collection.
Find out what you are dealing with before committing to representation.
We review your notice and the information you provide, explain what needs attention, and quote the representation work separately.
What will representation cost?
The final fee depends on the years involved, issues under review, records available, agency and stage of the case. You receive a scope and quote before deciding.
Notice review and a limited response
Audit representation and document preparation
Appeal, reconsideration or collection work
Representation is quoted separately from the $295 evaluation. Tax, penalties, interest, return preparation and bookkeeping reconstruction are not included unless expressly stated in your proposal.
Case Evaluation
$295
one-time evaluation
The notice and the agency involved
Response deadlines shown in your documents
Tax years and issues being questioned
Records needed and practical next steps
A quote for representation based on your case
Your $295 evaluation fee may be credited toward full representation if you hire Elite. We confirm any credit in your written proposal.
Request a consultation about the $295 evaluation. Our team confirms the time; requesting does not begin representation or authorize a charge.
Evaluation scope
The evaluation does not include responding to the agency, filing an appeal or ongoing representation. Submitting a request or booking a call does not extend a deadline.
Have the letter in front of you?
We’ll arrange secure instructions for sharing your notice. You can start even if you do not have every receipt ready.
Do not send SSNs, tax returns or audit documents through ordinary email or the scheduling form.
A real person who can represent you before the IRS.
Hilda Urgelles is an Enrolled Agent (EA), federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS in audits, appeals and collection matters. Elite is your financial support team when the letter feels bigger than you can handle alone.
An EA credential is not an attorney license. State matters are accepted after confirming the agency’s representation rules and the scope of your case. Court litigation is not included.
A clear next step. No pressure to decide everything today.
01
Start with your situation
Choose a time or call us. Tell us if a deadline is close; keep sensitive documents out of the booking form.
02
Review the letter securely
We arrange secure document sharing and confirm the $295 evaluation before beginning.
03
Decide with a written scope
Review the findings and representation quote. Ongoing work begins only after an agreement and required authorization.
Questions you may be afraid to ask.
Will I owe everything shown in the letter?
We cannot tell from the amount alone. We review whether it is a proposed change, an assessment or a collection notice, and explain what needs to be checked. No reduction or outcome is guaranteed.
Can I start if my records are incomplete?
Yes. Start with the notice and the records you have. We identify missing information and discuss any additional reconstruction work separately.
Will you talk to the auditor for me?
If you engage Elite for representation and provide the required authorization, we can communicate with the agency within the agreed scope. The $295 evaluation alone does not start that representation.
What if the deadline is tomorrow or already passed?
Call and tell us the exact date shown. We need to review the notice before confirming what we can do. A booking or evaluation request does not pause or extend an agency deadline.
Do you handle state tax audits too?
We review state tax audit requests and confirm the specific agency, representation requirements and scope before accepting the engagement. Not every state matter or proceeding is included.
